Residential Pest Control Services

Big Red Pest Control provides an Integrated Pest Management System (IPM) tailored to fit your homes needs. Whether you have ants, roaches, spiders, rats, or mice, we have the experience and supplies to remove and prevent them. We begin by applying protective and pest eliminating treatments around the exterior of your home. The perimeter treatment combines contract granules, insecticide baits, dusts, and liquid residuals. Once this line of defense has been established, we come inside and determine what else we need to do through interviewing the homeowner. That’s when we’ll discuss what we found and our recommendations, including structural maintenance and pest control methods that need to be applied.

We have several programs tailored to fit your individual and specific needs, from monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, semiannually and one time. One time services are for remedying specific pest problems.

Specialized Services

We provide specialized pest control services for those insects that are especially hard to treat.

Carpenter Bees

These bees are bigger and more robust than bumblebees. They love to hang out near porches, patios, eves and overhangs, especially when breeding. Males do not sting, but females do in defense of their mate and their territory. Most often, topical insecticide is applied, followed by dusting and plugging the individual bee holes.

Bed Bugs

It’s easy to bring bed bugs in from outside. We apply the initial treatment and come back once a week for 3 more weeks to inspect and apply another treatment if needed, We will reapply the treatment free of charge if needed. If bed bugs return before 30 days are up, we will reapply treatment free of charge. Bed bugs feed on blood and often bite at night while you’re sleeping. They are found in mattress seams, sheets, behind baseboards, and behind picture frames. Signs of an infestation include the bugs themselves, case skins, defecation stains, and bites on your skin. Removal requires washing all bed linens in the hottest temperature possible.

German Cockroaches

The German Cockroach is small in size but the health risks associated with infestation are significant. A single egg can lead to an overwhelming infestation due to their short and prolific reproductive cycle, lack of natural predators, ability to survive on just about anything, and the confined spaces they prefer to live in. Preventative treatment at your home or business is a must to keep these pests away.

Fleas

Dogs and cats get fleas in their fur when these insects jump on them outside or from another pet with fleas. Once they get into your home, they can spread to your clothes, furniture, and your skin. We can remove them from your home or yard. Flea treatment in our yard may be necessary to control the feas. Finally, be sure to take your pet to the vet so they can be treated and you can avoid the return of fleas.

Snakes

With over 40 species in Alabama, 6 of which are venomous, our Perimeter Preventative Snake Treatment is literally a lifesaver.
